Fall Bucket List

There are so many things I love to do in the Fall but there never seems to be enough time during the day or weekends in a month to fit it all in.  I decided to organize all of my thoughts into a Fall Bucket List.  Hopefully I can get it all in!

What are your plans for this fall??

xox,

Fall Mani

I don't get to paint my nails very often but I love it when I do!  I love the deep hues and rich purples that are so popular in the fall for nail colors.  I wanted to do something different so I decided to add some glitter polish to the tips.
{don't judge the cuticules... I wasn't lying when I said I barely have time to paint my nails let alone groom them!}

Three Ways To Wear Chambray

My most worn article of clothing is probably the chambray shirt.  I love how versatile it is and comfy at the same time!  Here are three inspiration photos for how you can wear the infamous chambray.

Oxblood

I love this new color that I have been seeing everywhere these days!  However, I am not a huge fan of the name... Oxblood? Really? What happened to Burgandy or Brick Red or... Cinnamon? I guess if we come up with new names for the same old colors it's like we are creating brand new colors!

But here I am sporting oxblood nontheless! I suppose I will jump on any color bandwagon regardless of the name.  I mean I am a huge fan of chartreuse...

xox,

Ombre?

So, I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I'm really torn on what look to go with!

I have been LOVING the ombre trend lately.  It looks so unique, fresh and simple to maintain.  But how long will the trend last?  And is it appropriate in the workplace?  I work in a professional field and seem to always waiver on that line between trendy and professional. But who wouldn't want a hairstyle that keeps them out of the salon for longer than 8 weeks!

I am loving Lauren Conrad's ombre:

I also love the ombre Kristina has from Pretty Shiny Sparkly.  It is perfectly subtle and brings out her natural skin tone.
Check out pictures here!

What do you guys think?  Should I go for it?

September Haul

Here's a sneak peak at some of my recent purchases. I'm sure you will be seeing these pieces real soon!

{With J.Crew and Gap/Old Navy's 30% everything online last week, I went a little shopping crazy!}

Good Morning!

Every morning, as we walk to the car headed for daycare, Q and I say 'Good Morning!' to the neighborhood.  Noone really hears us but it's become a fun tradition each morning. {we're weird like that..}

I decided to snap a few pics of Q in his new fall gear.  We all know how fun new clothes are! {even if it is just a striped hoodie}

Whenever a bus passes our house {even indoors they are surprisingly loud} Q points and says 'Buh?!'
...I hope he doesn't grow up having troubles with his 'S's...

Purple & Polka Dot

Can you tell I love pencil skirts for work!?  They are so versatile!  Especially in all of the fun colors that are now in stores.*
I thought this color would be easy to transition from summer to fall. I can't wait to pair this skirt with black tights and booties!

Oh, and this shirt is AH-MA-ZING! I knew I had to have a polka dot chambray shirt after gushing over this one for awhile.  When I saw the Old Navy shirt online I was a little worried the quality wouldn't be as good.  But ON does it again!  It is great quality and super cute!

*This skirt comes in tons of fun colors!  They were also 50% off in stores! Not online though :(

xox,

Q's Style

I thought I would do a quick post about my son, Quinlan's, style for this fall.  I don't like to spend a ton of money on his clothes since he is growing like a weed but I still want him to look stylish!

I find a lot of Q's clothes at Gap and Old Navy.  They always have a discount online or are running major sales in the stores so I am able to get really cute items for a decent price!

Here are some items that Q will be sporting this fall:
{His favorite book is 'The Little Blue Truck' so I figured he'd automatically love this shirt}

Here are some pics of the little guy sporting the infamous plaid shirt.
{seriously though.... plaid and stripes are the only prints available for little boys! unless you like all of the cheesy sayings that accompany jungle animals...}

{we may need to cut his hair soon... that 'hawk is getting pretty long}

Work Wear

This is one of my favorite skirts to wear to work.  It goes with any top {printed or solid} but still adds a pop of color to the outfit!

I struggle sometimes trying to find the happy medium between professional and trendy while still showing my own personal style through my clothes.  That is why this skirt is perfect.  It has the neon color that is so in right now but is still professional to wear to work.

{It's hard to tell but this shirt has a little bit of gold sheen to it}

And a quick pic of my biggest fan...

Happy Labor Day!
